The ACF Malawi Mission journey throughout 2023 was a whirlwind of growth, unity, and profound impact, transforming the lives of both those served and those who served. Imagine professionals from diverse backgrounds coming together to form a familial bond with the people of Malawi, calling it their home away from home.

From a modest beginning in 2017 with a team of eight, our mission blossomed into a multinational assembly of twenty professionals hailing from various countries like the UK, Kenya, Uganda, South Africa, Belize, Ghana, and the United States. This eclectic mix of talents spanned professions as varied as Medicine, Nursing, Counseling Psychology, Pharmacy, Corporate Risk Management, and even included a sixteen-year-old student who stood as the tallest among us.

Our journey commenced on July 24th, 2023, when we landed in Lilongwe, greeted by CAPRO Malawi's national leader and our transport to Mangochi. Despite the exhaustion from a long journey, the spirit of mission and unity prevailed. Even before arriving in Malawi, our team had already begun ministering to one another, fostering a strong bond that only grew as we set foot on Malawian soil.

Accommodations expanded to Mangochi Highway Lodge to accommodate our larger team, while our partners stayed at the CAPRO base camp. Despite different lodgings, we found ways to connect and unite, enhancing our collaboration and mission.

Visiting five villages, our medical stations served over two thousand patients, offering not just medical aid but also spiritual nourishment. More than a hundred people embraced faith during our outreach, connecting with local missionaries for further guidance.

As we bid farewell in August, it was evident that leaving Malawi meant leaving a piece of ourselves behind. The warmth, friendships, and shared experiences made saying goodbye challenging. Yet, our hearts are set on returning in 2024 to continue this incredible journey of faith with the Yao people.

Our vision stretches beyond medical aid; education is gaining momentum, evident in the Tujimuche Primary School's growth from its inception to now catering to over 200 students, with plans to expand further.

Looking ahead, our mission aligns with ACFUSA's vision 2030, aiming to integrate other aspects into our ministry, obeying the vision God has set before us. Malawi remains on our minds, an integral part of our ongoing commitment to serve and grow together in faith.
